I used to think about this all the time.
As a full-time employee taking home just about $700 a week and a tiny stipend from the church while working 40+ hours on the job, at least another 15-20 with ministry stuff, supporting my family, running the operations of the church, and trying to operate in my own ministry, achieving financial and time freedom felt impossible.
So, like most people in this situation, I accepted that I just wasn’t cut out for a life of abundance and freedom.
That’s When I Discovered Something That Changed Everything…
5 years ago, I decided to launch a second side hustle. That's cool, right? Sure, except for the fact that the first one failed.
Anyway, I wanted to help churches improve their social media presence. Talked to a few pastors and got my first 5 clients. Life was great, right?
Except, I was spending 30+ hours every single week, AFTER getting home from my 9 to 5 in order to create all the content, write all the captions, schedule all the posts, not to mention trying to have time for my wife and kids.
It took about a year, but I remember when I made my first extra $1,000 from this gig and I was pretty happy, to say the least.
It felt like the best way to serve and make money, but...
Yeah, that's me in 2021...sitting at my co-worker's desk while at my 9 to 5. I used to steal time working on my side business while on the clock (Sorry Rob🥴)
Little did I know that I was making a VERY costly mistake.
One night, while working til about 3 AM (with a 6 AM wakeup looming), I realized that I had made a terrible deal.
All I had done was trade the little bit of time that I DID have with my family to make a few more dollars.
All I basically did was pick up a second job.
There was a much smarter way to create more income—and it didn’t involve me sacrificing even MORE of my time.
Instead of creating hundreds of graphics and videos each week and practically never sleeping, what if I hired someone to handle those clients for me.
PLUS, I realized, "what if I could help the pastors in more ways than just social media?" I knew I had a passion for helping churches, but more specifically, I felt deep down that I didn't just enjoy it, but I had a divine purpose to help pastors and Christian leaders.
I thought, "what if I could help them identify the value that they had o offer the world and help them create THEIR own income stream like I had done?"
The real kicker? I had always had a gift for being able to recognize the most valuable aspects of a person so this would've been a simple shift.
I knew I was on to something big...
Now, all I needed to learn was a few more business skills so I could help them connect their value and passions with proper messaging and effective marketing and voilà!
I had been missing the point that my real purpose wasn't in the DOING...it was in the KNOWING WHAT TO DO.
I knew I had a PURPOSE to help pastors and leaders....

I took a big, scrary LEAP and decided to launch into this work full-time.
